Our late President in permitting the admission of the
communists into our Kuomintang did not mean to admit the
whole of the Communist Party. The so-called "alliance with
the Communists" is only a term deceitfully invented by them. In his approval of the admission of the Communists, our late
President had nothing beyond the following two purposes:-
(1) To absorb the Communists with the "Three Aspe cts of
Democracy" and to convert the Communists to these
theories, so that China may be safeguarded against
Communist peril.
(2)
To give the Communists who interest themselves in
the National Revolution an opportunity for activity
He did not want the Communists to usurp the authorit
of the Party, to destroy our Kuomintang, nor to
overthrow the "Three Aspects of Democracy" and
dominate China.
Our President allied with Soviet Russia because she
had at that time treated our Chinese race with equality.
In his alliance with her, he did not intend that Borodin
should break down our National Revolution and be the supreme authority. As regards the question of the continuation of our alliance with Russia, the key to the situation is not to be found in China, but depends on whether Soviet Russia can treat us Chinese with equality. If Soviet Russia does not change her policy, we shall still be glad to continue our alliance with her. In the world it is principles only that determine policies and there can be no policies which
will change principles.
